Developers of No. 1 Old Trafford Secure Funding for New Manchester Project

    The developers who led the No. 1 Old Trafford build-to-rent residential scheme, which was sold by North Property Group, have secured funding for another buy-to-let Manchester project.

    Cole Waterhouse has announced that they have secured £45.5million in funding from Fortwell Capital, who also funded No. 1 Old Trafford. This investment into property will create Anchorage Gateway in the flourishing Salford area of Manchester.


    Anchorage Gateway

    Anchorage Gateway is a 290-unit build-to-rent residential scheme covering 250,640 sq ft over 29 storeys. Designed by architects Chapman Taylor, Cole Waterhouse has also partnered with Domis Construction for the build of the development.

    The project itself is a joint venture between Cole Waterhouse and Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC and their UK partner Rowan Asset Management.


    Designed for residential appeal

    Offering almost 300 sought-after buy-to-let opportunities in Manchester, the Anchorage Gateway project will comprise a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. As well as residential units, the ground level offers 4,000 sq ft of commercial space, landscaped public areas and cycle storage facilities.

    Two landscaped terrace gardens for residents and rooftop penthouse apartments with extensive private terraces give plenty of outdoor space. Such outdoor areas are increasingly in demand by tenants, and are important to look for when making an investment in property.


    Booming Salford

    The new Anchorage Gateway project is just the latest in the long list of exciting build to rent schemes underway in Salford. With increasing numbers of large companies relocating to the area and having been recently named as one of the region’s trendiest areas, it is no wonder that Salford was found to be the place in the country to be a landlord.
