HMRC Tenancy Deal Invigorates Birmingham City Centre

    In probably the biggest pre-let deal in Birmingham in a decade, HM Revenue & Customs, HMRC, have agreed a 25-year lease to base its West Midlands regional division at the new Arena Central complex in Birmingham city centre.

    The new site will be based in the Broad Street area of Birmingham. This 14-story development will encompass 24,000 square feet of office space. It is due to be complete in 2020.

     

    Specially designed to encourage smarter working the building is. Also, its striking geometric look will fit with other constructions in this contemporary part of Birmingham. The entire site will feature cycle and pedestrian routes to help connect the facility with the rest of the city.

     

    Job Opportunities 

    HM Revenue and Customs, HMRC, will also bring 3,600 staff to Birmingham city centre. Consequently, creating residential demand from people working in the offices. This is only the latest in similar relocation announcements by a high-profile organisations; HSBC are also basing the headquarters of its new retail banking department at the nearby 1 Centenary Square, bringing yet even more jobs to the area and therefore more residential demand.
