The construction of 127 new homes in Salford’s Pendleton area have been given the go-ahead. This adds to the regeneration work already underway in Pendleton, helping bring more jobs and people to the area. Furthermore, this creates ample property investment opportunities in Manchester.
Third Phase of Works
The project to construct a further 127 homes in the Salford district of Pendleton in Greater Manchester is the third phase of the scheme. It is being led by Lovell Together and will build and improve 3,000 homes in the area, creating plenty of opportunities for property investment in Manchester.
The regeneration works are being funded by a £1.91million Brownfield Land Grant supported by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).
Deputy City Mayor Councillor and Salford council’s lead member for housing, Tracy Kelly, said, “This is the much-anticipated next phase of the regeneration scheme for the area to provide more family homes for local people. The transformation and extra homes are much needed and will create jobs and opportunities such as apprenticeships when work begins.”
The regeneration scheme has already resulted in 344 new family homes and apartments in Salford’s Pendleton region. The next 127 will only further increase the area’s desirability.
The new homes themselves are being built to state-of-the-art modern standards. Therefore making them a great option for a property investment in Manchester. They will come with LED lighting, solar panels on the roof, and high-efficiency gas boilers installed.
Plans for the new homes show there will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties. This also includes four wheelchair-accessible properties and 15 allotments.
Quality Public Spaces
As well as the homes, the regeneration scheme will also improve the public spaces in Pendleton, furthering Salford’s desirability as a top choice for a property investment in Manchester.
High quality public spaces feature heavily in the published design plans for the transformation project. New cycle paths and walking routes will easily connect people with the rest of Salford and Greater Manchester. While 29 new street trees will bring green spaces to the area.
Top Choice For Buy-to-Lets
Salford is now one of the top locations for buy-to-investments. A recent study found the best places in the UK to make a property investment are in Manchester and Salford.
