Kiełbasa at Smak!
Kiełbasa is a traditional Polish sausage made to a secret family recipe and then smoked and cured on a farm near Leeds. If this sounds good to you then Smak! is the place to go. Choose a classic smoked pork or beef, add garlic and herbs or a spicy kick with fiery chillies. At just £4, each comes in a bread roll garnished with house coleslaw, cheese, horseradish sauce and a Polish gherkin.

Piadinas at La Bottega Milanese
You may have already been to La Bottega Milanese for a coffee, but if you haven’t tried one of their Piadinas you are definitely missing out. Originating from the Romagna region of North East Italy, these thin flatbreads are made with white flour, olive oil, salt and water. You can choose to have them stuffed with all sorts of savoury fillings, including porchetta, salami and mozzarella. They’re crunchy and crisp on the outside but gooey on the inside, and are a bargain at just £4 each.

Pizza al taglio at Simpatico
Simpatico specialises in Roman-style pizza al taglio (‘by-the-slice’), which you can pick up for as little as £2.50 depending on the toppings. These change every day so it’s worth multiple visits to try as many as you can! The pizzas are cooked in the traditional way, so they’re crispy on the bottom and light and fluffy on top.

Thali at Manjit’s Kitchen
For something meat-free head to Manjit’s Kitchen for their famous veggie Punjabi cuisine. Their Thali comes as a big tray filled with all sorts of traditional treats, including a choice of two curries, cumin rice, salad, pickles, rotifer and chutney – and all for £4.95. The curries themselves change every day including temple dhal, chana masala, Keralan veg and potato & spinach. Just make sure you visit on an empty stomach!
