Have a go at bouldering at one of the best climbing centres in Leeds, The Climbing Lab. As well as a custom-built boulder that you can climb up and over, they also offer free coaching on a Tuesday night to help you get a grip of things. You can even sign up for beginner’s lessons and go by yourself or with friends. After you’re all climbed out, relax in their social space with a drink from their café.

Leeds Cookery School is the perfect place to learn new cookery skills or improve your knowledge. Head Chef Simon Chappelow and his team of expert cooks will teach you how to make dishes ranging from Thai meals to fresh bread and pasta – all from scratch and using locally sourced ingredients. This hugely welcoming kitchen is also a charity, which means you’ll be doing something good at the same time.
