Construction Updates

Tranquillity Construction Update – December 2024

The reinforced concrete frame is progressing two weeks ahead of schedule, with pile caps completed and core 3 slip form construction finished. Lower ground floor slabs and upper ground floor pours are complete, while columns are rising to the level 2 slab. Drainage is finished, and waterproof membranes are advancing, preparing the site for upcoming work. Early 2025 will see continued core construction, slab and column progress, and the start of substation fit-out, with transformers arriving in February. Meanwhile, design updates and landscape plans are advancing, alongside preparations for utility connections.

Tranquillity Construction Update – November 2024

At 12 weeks in, the project is running two weeks ahead of schedule. Groundwork progress includes completed excavation, pile cropping in areas 6 and 7, and ongoing slip form work for cores 2 and 3. Tower crane 4 is operational, lower ground floor slab pours are done, and column construction is advancing. Drainage and waterproofing installations continue, alongside the tarmac base for the lower ground floor. Meanwhile, design updates and utility works are progressing well, with 80% of off-site electricity ducting completed.

Tranquillity Construction Update – October 2024

The deep foundation and reinforced piling for Tranquillity Manchester are now complete, ensuring stability from the ground up. A third tower crane is operational, with a fourth on the way to streamline heavy material handling. Waterproofing and drainage systems are being installed to protect the lower levels, enhancing the building’s durability. With groundwork nearing completion, vertical construction will soon begin with core columns and slip forms, marking the structure’s rise above ground.
