Reservation and exchange

Once a comprehensive strategy is in place which meets your property goals, it is time to pick out your perfect property and reserve it ahead of the exchange of contracts.

Your property consultant will ensure that you understand every step of the process before you reserve a property so that your purchase proceeds smoothly. As part of this, you will need to provide the following:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of funds

Once we have received these documents and the reservation fee, our aftersales team will take over and guide you through the exchange of contracts. You will need to appoint a solicitor to undertake all due diligence and other legal requirements at this stage.

Once this has been completed, our solicitor will request the funds required to complete the exchange of contracts – an amount that can differ depending on the development you are investing in. If you do not have a solicitor, we can recommend a trusted company with experience of UK property transactions of all types to assist you.
