A site in Manchester has been bought by the McGoff Group on which a new build to rent development will be created. Mulbury had previously gained approval for a residential investment property scheme on the site, but following the collapse of their contracting arm, they withdrew from the project.
New investment opportunities
The site is located on Manchester’s Rochdale Road next to the Marble Arch pub. McGoff Group will take forward the planning consent gained by Mulbury and are aiming to develop a brand-new build to rent scheme on the site.
The project will create 237 buy to let units in Manchester, built specifically as investment properties. The development will form part of McGoff Group’s ‘Downtown’ brand, following from the success of their recent 374-unit Downtown project in Salford.
An ideal site for build to rent
The 237 units will span three buildings. These new blocks will house 77 one bedroom apartments, 149 two bedroom apartments, 11 three bedroom apartments and a mix of two and three bedroom duplex townhouses. Some will even come with balconies, garages and gardens.
Also available will be 35 car parking spaces in a basement car park and secure cycle storage.
