In yet another report that proves Leeds’ status as a property investment hotspot, new analysis from Manor Interiors ranks Leeds as the city with the most fully furnished rental homes in all of England.

Shift to fully furnished
The shift towards fully furnished rental homes is just the latest development in the private rental sector. Whereas in the past tenants have lived in rental properties only until they were able to buy, far more people are now choosing to rent long-term.
Farhan Malik, CEO of Manor Interiors, explained the draw of fully furnished properties for tenants. He said, “The convenience and flexibility of renting long term really resonate with the modern-day tenant and we’re starting to see the rental sector evolve to meet these needs, particularly through the build-to-rent sector.
“Furnished homes are just one aspect of this evolution and presenting a stylish, practically furnished home is a sure-fire way to grab the attention of tenants above and beyond your average rental home.”

However, Farhan Malik had some words of advice when it comes to letting a fully furnished property, especially for those making a beginner property investment.
He said, “You don’t need to break the bank but you also want to refrain from filling your rental home with cheap furniture that is likely to need replacing by the time the next tenant enters the home. Bespoke, high-quality furniture can be purchased for a reasonable price whether you’re fitting out one buy-to-let home, or a hundred units within a build-to-rent development.”
